Hi there

My name is Emily and this is my dedicated space for documenting my journey with creative living. It is my hope, that I can inspire those of you who visit, read and look through this space to find the curiosity to follow your own inner voice, seek out and do the thing that makes you go “this is what life’s all about.”

Harvest Moon Card Reading

Harvest Moon Card Reading

I've been recently learning more about working with moon phases, and decided to read up a bit about tonight's full moon, the Harvest Moon. It was very interesting for me to learn that this full moon is within the sign of Pisces and will lead us into discovering more insights and depth of intuition.

Well, this sure is timely! Considering I'm embodying my "inner wolf" this month and working with trusting my instinct, I thought I would pull a spread in honour of this creative energy and have a little conversation with my inner self. I decided to pull 3 cards, one of each of my favourite decks in a nice little mix up of.  I used my tarot cards, oracle cards and goddess cards. (I'll put links to them at the end of the post.)

I've never done this before, so didn't know what to expect - would the cards clash? Or would they work together? Whilst I've worked with my oracle cards for a couple of years now, this would only be my second card pulled from my new tarot deck. But you know what, they're my cards so I decided to give it a go...

Oh wow. The spread was powerful.

First, from my tarot deck, I pulled the two of pentacles:

  • Inevitable change
  • Likely related to earthly possessions
  • This change has to happen - face it with the grace of a butterfly

Then, from my oracle cards, Tsunami:

  • Wake up call
  • Something dramatic will change
  • It may be a shock - trust your instinct
  • Seek higher spiritual ground

Lastly, from my goddess deck - Eve:

  • Life - creator of the world
  • Often portrayed as the snake - a potent symbol of life energy
  • Represents rebirth and regeneration
  • Primal female creativity

Am I a bit scared? Heck yes.

What is my instinct telling me?

Keep exploring.
